Something to think about:
"God so love the world he sent us his only child...."
We are not just celebrating the birth of the child, we are celebrating the establishment of the family.
Think of it from this point of view.
We are made in Gods image. His son by whatever name we choose to call him (Jesus for me), is a demigod, part god - part human. God gifted us his son to prove we are ALL one family. That family is named human.
The majority of the world has chosen ...Read Full Post »

Today is Make a Difference Day
How can one person make a difference? With a little bit of indifference.
We are entering the season of Holidays in which many peoples are vocal about their faith or lack there of. Why not take a step toward peace by NOT caring about whether or not someone else celebrates the same things you do. It should not.
There is no reason to be offended by someone putting up decorations to celebrate something I do not. Instead...Read Full Post »

I was asked recently "Why do you write your stories?"
There are many purposes for writing: to tell a story to convey an idea or opinion or to converse.
The Reason for writing is to encourage someone to share the experiences allowed when imagination is stimulated. It is the sharing that makes it with others that gives writing its value. So to all that read what is written, Thank you for sharing...Read Full Post »

I am so tired of petty, petulant comments when someone asks a question or for advice. Everyone comes upon an instant when they become flustered, and second-guess a decision often set upon in haste.
No question is Dumb, even if the answer seems obvious to everyone else. Sometimes questions are a way of verifying to ones self that, the self has come to the proper solution for the problem being addressed.
There is no need or benefit from statements directly intended to atta...Read Full Post »

Something to think about.

Why are hugs magic?
Because with one simple gesture and without words you have told the person receiving the hug many things. The hug says - hello, how are you, I'm not going to hurt you. The hug says - I'm so glad you're happy, a celebration is needed. The hug says - I care about what just happened - neither you nor I, are alone, together we cannot be broken.
Why are hugs magic? Because - the action of compassionately by impulse or intent embracing a person or ani...Read Full Post »

There is an answer in every experienced tragedy; we need only be willing to find the question. First we must put aside: anger, self-pity, doubt, public opinion, and the loss of what could have been. Once the question is found, its answer will bring strength and the ability to move forward. Faith brings hope, hope brings possibility, and possibility brings achievement. All achievements are little miracles because of the hurdles overcome to get there.... Read Full Post »

In How Nicholas Became Santa Claus, Nicholas the infant had to deal with the trials of life. To make choices, to give in or fight without being broken in spirit. To be successful eventhough the people upon whom you have depended all through life thus far are no longer present. Finding a way to triumph over seemingly overwhelming odds with a smile on your face and a laugh in your belly is truly a gift. Everyone is given this gift on a daily basis. Recognizing our triumphs as gifts, is part of ...Read Full Post »
