A thought from Darrell

Time exist not beyond human experience. With no humans to mark seconds, time actually has no meaning. In our version of the universe, entropy is the ability to do useful work and the arrow of time travels from high to low entropy. Each of us marks every second of our lives with diminishing life force.

The world revolves around not just one of us, but in a way, around each of us. When we slumber the world goes away, and when we wake it is there again. When we finally never wake, time exist no longer.

If “Father Time” did exist, he might be a quantum physicist. In “Nicholas” he said:

… I have privy to ineffable knowledge: things beyond human power to tell or understand…Time exists for only one main purpose. [Time allows] us to have experiences, and learn from them….”
